Jobs and Fair Trade
The problem is the loss of jobs and the solution is getting the jobs back. Fair trade will bring back jobs. Simply put if you have nothing to make, you have nothing to sell, you have no money to spend. Fair trade means a country may export only as much product to America as they import from America. Simply put if a nation wants to sell more then they have to buy more. Fair trade would reverse the migration of jobs leaving America. It would bring back the manufacturing that made America an industrial giant which created the highest middle class in the world.
2.1 million Manufacturing jobs were lost since December 2007, mostly durable goods. Dumping of low cost products into our country has been given a misleading name “Free Trade”. These products come at the highest cost, that cost is our jobs. As your Senator, I would:
- Reduce and eliminate government regulations that deter manufacturing in America.
- Write legislation to implement a fair trade policy, meaning “a country may export only as much product to America as they import from America.”
- Boisterously address foreign currency manipulation and subsidization.
Cleaning Out Our Existing Government
Our politicians have let us down and sold us out over and over again. This time there are too many of us out there for them to continue to ignore us; we must organize and take back America and the only way to do that is with the most powerful weapon devised by man, the ballot box with its secret ballot. As your senator, I would:
- Oppose all bailout packages and will oppose government handouts. No more corporate bailouts ever! Let the free market decide!
- Oppose all earmarks; if you are dependent on pork barrel spending, I’m not your man.
- Write legislation to impose term limits on Senators and congressmen (two terms).
- Write legislation to abolish lobbyist’s from becoming government aids and vice versa. Those that elect to venture into politics should return to a life no less than ordinary after their service.
- Seek the principles of America’s founding fathers and return to limited Government.
Tax Relief
As a small business owner I understand the burdens that the government puts on the people with taxes. Taxes are a way of controlling the people; what must be remembered is that politicians are to serve the people not control them. As your Senator, I would:
- Write legislation for small business to immediately write off long term investments.
- Implement and provide tax incentives to new manufacturers.
- Write legislation to make all education 100% tax deductible.
- Write legislation to make drug prescriptions 100% tax deductible.
- Make paying off the national debt a national priority; we all know the danger of excessive credit card debt yet the government uses its citizenry as their credit card.
Health Care
For the past several months the largest of the major news stories in America has been health care and the insistence from those in power that the government needs more influence in this role. Coming from a small business owner, let me tell you that this is one role that the government cannot and shouldn’t be involved with.
As for government having a role in health care there are some things which could be implemented right now that would have no cost. As your Senator, I would:
- Write legislation to lower health care cost by medical malpractice and tort reform.
- Allow interstate health care competition which would allow anyone in any state to buy insurance from another state. This means instead of having a half a dozen choices in California, you would have hundreds. Remember, competition lowers prices, encourages innovation, and promotes a free market.
Just a little more of what I believe in:
- Make English the national language.
- I have been a life member of the NRA since April of 1974 and I will protect the second amendment.
- Do what is necessary to make our borders more secure.
- Start downsizing government.
- Have a 30 day grace period where bills may be viewed openly by the public before they are voted on.
- Start drilling for oil and natural gas, and sell these resources in our country only. These resources come off of public grounds which are the people’s property and thusly the cost benefit should benefit the people!
- No inheritance tax; the taxes have already been paid. No double taxation! Why destroy the family?
- Make public schools teach the U.S. Constitution. If you don’t teach it, how can the kids learn it?
